What if I do not receive my money or shares on the due date?

If any broker fails to make proper payment or deliver you the money/shares on time or you wish to make any complaint against the conduct of the broker, you can lodge a complaint with the concerned stock exchange. The Exchange is expected to resolve all complaints. The complainant can also take recourse to arbitration to settle the dispute as given on the reverse of the contract note/ purchase or sale note. However, if the complaint is ignored or unnecessarily delayed by the stock exchanges, the complaints may be referred to the Secondary Markets Department of SEBI along with supporting documents. Action will be taken by the Exchanges for speedy redressal of your grievance. In case of complaint against a sub-broker, the complaint may also be referred for redressal to the broker concerned with which that sub-broker is associated.
